Multilac, first Sri Lankan paint brand to receive ISO 9001:2000 certification from SGS UK

Multilac Paints, the flagship brand of Macksons Paint Industries (Pvt) Ltd was recently awarded the prestigious ISO 9001:2000 International Quality Management Certification from SGS United Kingdom with United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS), thus becoming the first ever Sri Lankan brand of paints to receive such certification.

Exressing delight at this achievement, Mackson’s Managing Director Mizver Makeen said, “This accreditation endorses our total commitment to quality in the entire manufacturing process and management systems. This will be further reinforced as we compete with international giants in the export market”,

Makeen added that the company will maintain its Quality Policy in fulfilling customers requirements. “We will continue to provide high quality products, select the best raw materials, apply modern manufacturing processes and enforce strict quality control in conformity with ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management Systems for continuous improvement. This way we can strike a balance between customers’ perceived price and quality at affordable prices for the right product”.
